Genda Lin

Genda Lin is a multidisciplinary design director and hands-on creative technologist working at the intersection of cultural insight, brand narrative, digital products, and emerging technology. His work focuses on uncovering insights and business opportunities to create products and service experiences that people love.

As design director at frog, he led designers, researchers, strategists, and technologists to drive business growth and innovation across brand systems, UI/UX, and service experiences for global industry leader including Disney, Ford, KFC, LEGO, L'Oréal, Michelin, Shiseido, and UnionPay. At Tencent, he led product development and mobile design systems for one of China's top e-commerce platforms, serving 10M+ users. He later joined an AI-powered education unicorn as user experience design director, shaping intelligent learning experiences, serving 30M learners across China and global markets.

Genda combines systems thinking and hands-on building to turn complex data and context into meaningful products experiences and sustanable business value. He currently works with urban and spatial data, semantic analysis, and language-model workflows to uncover patterns in behavior, place, perception, and service needs. Starting from user value and business value, he translates these insights into product principles, prototypes, and scalable systems. His work also examines the privacy, agency, and ethical implications of technology, aiming to create technologies that are understandable, responsible, and trustworthy.

Genda holds an M.S. in Computational Design Practices from Columbia University and an M.F.A. in Design and Technology from Parsons School of Design. He has taught, advised, and lectured at leading design institutions, including the Royal College of Art, Rhode Island School of Design, Tongji University, and Chung Yuan Christian University, which rank among the world’s top design schools.
